A personal blog on the unusual world of East End politics by Ted Jeory, a Tower Hamlets resident, a former accountant who spent nine years in the City and business before becoming an award-winning deputy editor of the East London Advertiser…and now a speaker at the Centre for Investigative Journalism summer school and Home Affairs Editor of the Sunday Express, who, according to one former Respect/Labour councillor, is a “working class ‘wanna-be-upmarket-urban-rat-low life’”.
Posts will be regular; not daily, but at least weekly…I hope.
In February 2013, this blog became the first to be shortlisted for the Private Eye/Guardian Paul Foot Award. Which made me quite chuffed.
